Mentioned AI visibility for restaurants

A 48-hour diagnostic

When someone asks AI for the best restaurant in your city, does it say your name?

For most restaurants the answer is no, and the reason has nothing to do with the food. AI assistants do not invent recommendations. They repeat whatever the review sites, map listings and local guides already agree on. If you are missing from that layer, you are invisible to AI, no matter how good you are. We find out exactly where you are missing, and tell you how to fix it.

What a report looks like

4 defects found Real audit, name withheld
13 TripAdvisor reviews. Ranked #340 of 2,473 restaurants in the city.
Below 20 reviews, 47% of people skip a business outright. TripAdvisor is one of the sources AI reads first.
Two different phone numbers across listing sites.
One number on Yelp and the city food guide, a different one on another directory. Conflicting records make a business harder for AI to resolve as one place, and it is a known ranking negative on its own.
16,300 Instagram followers. 690 on Facebook.
Years of audience built on the platform that feeds AI recommendations the least, and almost nothing on one that feeds it directly.
Absent from 4 of the 5 "best in the city" guides that rank for the search customers actually run.
Three competitors appeared on three or more each. Those are the names an AI assistant repeats.
This restaurant has a professional website, heavy social presence, and a national payment-brand partnership. It is clearly marketing-aware. Its listing layer is still broken, and nobody had told them. Every item above was verified from public pages in under three minutes.

Where AI actually gets its answers

This is not a guess. BrightLocal ran 200,085 local AI searches across 1,300 businesses and traced 1.9 million citations back to their sources. Here is what AI assistants were actually reading.

28.6% Google Business Profile By far the largest single source
9.5% Yelp Second, and not close
~6% Facebook, TripAdvisor, OpenTable, Apple Maps Combined
42% Business websites Spread thinly across many domains

The part most people selling this will not tell you

Most of this is just good fundamentals, done properly.

There is a whole industry forming around "AI optimization" that wants this to sound like alchemy. It is not. The things that make a restaurant visible to an AI assistant are, almost entirely, the same things that make it visible in Google's local results today: a complete map listing, real reviews, consistent details everywhere, and a presence on the sites people already use.

We are also not going to tell you search is dead. It is not. Across the whole web, organic traffic is down about 13% over two years, and paid search actually grew. The large collapse numbers you may have read belong to news publishers, not restaurants. What we sell is narrower and more honest than that: a list of the specific places your restaurant is currently missing, and what to do about each one.

What we do

Every claim in your report is something we verified on a public page, with the link, so you can check it yourself. That is the whole point.

01
Sweep the eight sources AI reads
Google Business Profile, Yelp, TripAdvisor, OpenTable and Resy, Facebook, Apple Maps, delivery platforms, and your own site. Present or missing, complete or partial, and what each one currently says about you.
02
Check your details actually match
Phone, address, suite number, name spelling and hours, compared character by character across every listing. This is where we find defects owners never knew existed.
03
Run the search your customers run
We run the real query and record who gets named, including whether an AI summary appeared at all. If it did not, we say so.
04
Score three competitors the same way
Named, scored, side by side with you. Usually the most useful page in the report.
05
Hand you a ranked fix list
Every defect, ordered by what moves the needle most for the least work, each with the specific action and a realistic time estimate. Written so your own staff can do all of it.

Questions

Does anyone actually use AI to pick a restaurant?

It is still smaller than Google, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. But it is moving quickly. In BrightLocal's survey of 1,002 consumers, the share using AI tools for local business recommendations went from 6% to 45% in a single year. The more immediate point is that the same fixes that make you visible to AI are what make you visible in Google's local results right now, and local results appear on 93% of local searches. You are fixing today and the next two years at the same time.

Can I not just do this myself?

Yes, genuinely, and some people will. The report tells you exactly what is wrong and what to do about it, and nothing in the fix list requires a specialist. What you are buying is the several hours of finding out what is broken, not permission to fix it. If you would rather we did the work, that is the $890 tier.

We are already on Google. Is that not enough?

Being listed and being complete are different things, and the gap is usually large. A Google Business Profile has around a dozen fields that affect how you surface, and most restaurants we check are missing several. Since that one profile is 28.6% of everything AI assistants cite about local businesses, it gets its own section in every report.

Who is behind this?

We are a small independent team. We are new, we have no reviews yet, and we are not going to invent any. That is exactly why the first thing we send you is a real finding about your own restaurant rather than a sales pitch: you can check it in about thirty seconds, and then decide for yourself whether we know what we are doing.

How fast is it really?

48 hours from payment, and usually sooner. The work is a focused pass across public sources, not a research project. If we are going to be late, we tell you before the deadline, not after.
